Her favorite CUS memory

There are so many but my most recent would have to be finally seeing all of my line sisters at Melissa's wedding. That was a sight I thought was nearly impossible. Others would include doing Replant in the rain and making a haunted house for Boofest.

Why she chose CUS

I chose CUS because I felt it was the best way for me to be a leader and service the Texas A&M community. I was already a part of many organization at A&M but this one offered sisterhood and a networking of people I could count on to see me through successfully completing college.

#5 - KARYZMA

Kristyana (Delgado) martinez

She was a Telecommunication Engineering Technology major in school and is currently working as a consultant for SAP Americas.

Her favorite CUS memory

Winning the SILK stroll competition in Houston, TX in 2005! And winning CUS chapter of the year! WHOOP!!

Why she chose CUS

I wanted to give back to the community and I knew CUS was the avenue for me to accomplish this. We were founded on community service and sisterhood, therefore our goal has always been to give back as a family! I'm proud to be a part of this goal.

#6 - DESERT SUN

Azucena Ponce

She was a Wildlife Ecology and Management major in school and was an OWLS member prior to becoming a sister in the Fall of 2000. She is currently pursuing an MS in Environmental Science and is working with the US geological Survey at the Bird Banding Lab as a Biological Technician.

Favorite CUS memory

My favorite CUS memory was after we had crossed. We were traveling back to College Station and stopped at a Haunted House. We went into the Haunted House locked up! We were such neos. We had so much fun that night.

Another favorite memory is being a CUS auntie. The second year I was in MD I found out that my line sister Matilda lived in D.C. and had just given birth. After that, we spent as much time as we could together. I watched little Makayla grow. I love my little niece.

Why she chose CUS

As a junior at the time, I'd been exposed to other Greek organizations and felt that CUS offered something different. It really stood out. If it wasn't for a presentation given by two strangers, Natalia and Kristyana, I would not be writing this. They professionally presented themselves and the organization. I chose CUS because of what it stood for. The four principles and mission reeled me in basically. I was intrigued about how such a small organization can make an immense impact in the community and in our lives.

#8 - SHEER RADIANCE

Natalia (Alejandro) padilla

She was a genetics major in school and was an OWLS member prior to becoming a sister in the Fall of 2000. She is currently working as a research program director in interventional radiology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

Her favorite CUS Memory

I have plenty of the but my top 5 are: 1. When my blood sister became my sorority sister; now she is my sister^2 and it is just the best! 2. Helped in the expansion of CUS in Texas. When I became a founding sister of Phi Chapter there was only one other chapter. Two and a half years after I crossed, I was involved in the expansion efforts of 2 other schools in Texas. 3. When Phi Chapter won Chapter of the Year. We had a big turnout that year and almost every Phi Chapter sister was there! 4. Phi Phun Days, They are always a blast. It is a weekend full of sister bonding, what more can you ask for? 5. My linesisters. We crossed in 2000 and almost ten years later, they are still a big important part of my life!!

Why she chose CUS

Chi Upsilon Sigma is not just an organization you join so you can pass time in college or have some people to hang out with. CUS is an organization that sisters stay actively involved in 10, 15, 20 years after they crossed, I too will be one of them! As an organization, there is a big emphasis placed on Sisterhood and it shows. To this day my sisters are my best friends and I couldn't imagine my life without them.

#9 - KINDRED SPIRIT

Isabel (Bustos) Sanchez

She was an Interdisciplinary Studies major in school and was an OWLS member prior to becoming a sister in the fall of 2000. She is currently pursuing a master technology teacher and is working at an elementary school in San Antonio as a 2nd grade bilingual teacher.

Her favorite CUS memory

1. After we crossed, we stopped at a Haunted House in Waco. Bathrooms were horrible. Somehow they found Kris's name and called it out during the whole thing.  2. Knowing someone would always be there for me when I needed them.

Why she chose CUS

Not your typical sorority. We all had something different to bring into the group. We all looked out after each other.
