Angelica Maria (Saldana) Heiderich

Angelica was a Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering Technology major in school before becoming a sister in the Spring of 2005. She currently works for the United States Air Force as an ICBM codes controller for the 91 Missile Wing at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota.

Her favorite CUS memory

There are so many but I guess I can narrow it down to two :o) 1 ~ When I went to New Jersey for my first National Convention. I got on the plane in Houston not sure where I was going to stay or who was going to pick me up in NJ when I got there. When I stepped off the plane my line sister Angelica Santiago (who I never met before) greeted me at the gate and drove me to her dorm where I was going to stay for the next three days. Who could ask for anything better.  2 ~ When I went to Florida for the Southeast Conference. I met my Line Sister Aishah for the first time. We talked on the phone for over a year and a half but had never met. We hugged and I knew I was at my home away from home :o)

Why she chose CUS

I didn’t choose CUS because it was something different, because of its ideals, its mission, its Independence, even through these are great qualities that set CUS apart from the rest. In actuality CUS chose me. I truly believe that only the sisters of CUS and specifically Phi Chapter could open my heart up. They provided me with the essentials during my time away from home (during school and currently). They were there when I needed someone to talk to, when I needed someone to see how I was doing, when I needed someone to ask me how my family was doing, when I needed someone to teach me how to love another human being. I know now that I needed CUS so CUS found me.
