Her favorite CUS memory

I know this one! Sisterhood Retreat! I love the company of my sisters. I love being with them. It’s always a blast being with each other. Go CUS!

Why she chose CUS

I never went out looking for letters or CUS. My high school mentor, Casey Ramos, was influential. I didn’t know she came to Texas A&M University as an advisor, but when I did find out, I went to her office as soon as I could. When she and her co-worker were talking, I was confused. I knew they were talking about Greek life, but didn’t know any of the organizations they were talking about. Casey saw my confused look and said, “you didn’t know I was in a sorority, right?” I really didn’t think she was. The way she handled herself very professionally, how she spoke, and how she influenced people made me wonder about Chi Upsilon Sigma. Casey told me more about it and how there’s an O.W.L.S group for interested women. I told her that I would think about it, since I was clueless about Greek life in general.

Casey then introduced me to Rachel Ganceres. We would go to dinner or watch a movie. These women gave a strong presence. I wanted that. When sisters were together, it seemed as if they grew up together as actual sisters and were the best of friends. I then asked to be in O.W.L.S. to learn more about Chi Upsilon Sigma.

Not only did these two women inspired me to be a part of this sisterhood, other organizations never gave me the spotlight as an interest, or invited me anywhere. And CUS was always willing to help and support me.
